Polyphenylene Sulfide

 

        The PPS is a semi-crystalline engineering plastic with main chain structure consisting of benzene rings and sulfur atoms alternately. The molecular structure of PPS endows it with the following key characteristics: high temperature resistance, excellent chemical inertness, electrical insulation and wear resistance. The melting point of PPS is about 280℃, and it can keep stable performance in high temperature environment for a long time (usually in the range of 200~240℃), so it is one of the ideal materials for high temperature application.

        The PPS has many applications in the industrial field, especially in the scene where both mechanical strength and environmental tolerance need to be considered. Specific applications include: automobile industry, such as fuel system parts and electronic sensor housings. Electronic/electrical, such as connectors, switches and printed circuit board substrates. Chemical equipment, such as pump casing, valves and pipeline parts, has excellent corrosion resistance. High toughness polyphenylene sulfide resin and film

Main features of products: high toughness, not easy to break or deform.

Key parameters of the product: notched impact strength is 15-80 KJ/㎡, and elongation at break is 50-200%.

Scope of application: it is suitable for high-strength impact-resistant and shock-absorbing components, such as load-bearing brackets of automobiles, supports of industrial equipment, pipelines of chemical equipment, structural components of aircraft and spacecraft, and elastic mechanical seals.

Polar hydrophilic polyphenylene sulfide resin and film

Main features of products: good hydrophilicity.

Key parameters of the product: the water contact angle ranges from 20-70° 。

Scope of application: it is used in special protective clothing, industrial filter bags and special purpose membranes, such as proton exchange membrane, hydrogen production membrane by hydrolysis, lithium battery membrane and oil separation membrane.

Anticorrosive and antibacterial polyphenylene sulfide resin and film

Main features of the product: corrosion resistance and good antibacterial property.

Key parameters of the product: it has long-term corrosion resistance to acid, alkali, organic solvent, sewage and seawater, and the bacteriostatic rate to common bacteria is over 99%, preventing the adhesion of microorganisms.

Scope of application: it is used for the protection of metals, instruments, medical equipment and chemical pipelines, especially for the bottom surface of ships with excellent long-term anti-corrosion and antibacterial effects.

Lead-free solder-resistant polyphenylene sulfide resin and film

Main features of the product: high melting temperature and resistance to lead-free welding.

Key parameters of the product: the cold crystallization temperature of the film is above 240℃.

Scope of application: As the base material of hard board and soft board, hard board is used for fixed electronic products such as computer motherboards and power supply equipment, and soft board is used for flexible connection scenes such as smart phone folding screens, automobile sensors and medical devices.

Low temperature processable polyphenylene sulfide resin and film

Main features of products: low melting point, good fluidity, low molding temperature, high toughness and strong bonding with metal.

Key product parameters: melting point is 200-250℃.

Scope of application: it is suitable for low-temperature processing scenes, such as anti-corrosion of oil pipelines and limited scenes with processing temperature below 220℃, and can also be used as heat-resistant and anti-corrosion coating materials.

Ultra-fine Linear Polyphenylene sulfide Resin with high molecular weight

        Flexible materials play a vital role in space exploration, nuclear environments, and various types of radiation shielding and protection. Based on the absorption and attenuation effects of elements such as carbon, hydrogen, sulfur, gadolinium, tantalum, and tungsten on neutrons and high-energy radiation, linear polyarylsulfides containing elements such as gadolinium have been designed and produced at the molecular level. By adding no more than 20% gadolinium tungstate or gadolinium borate nanowhiskers, the product's shielding capability against neutron radiation is further enhanced. Gadolinium-containing polyarylsulfide fibers (0.1-1.0 mm) were prepared by using melt spinning technology and then woven into various radiation shielding fabrics. Additionally, gadolinium-containing polyarylsulfides can be processed into films ranging from 5 to 100 μm in thickness by a casting machine. The resulting fibers, fabrics, and films can be used at temperatures ranging from -50 to 250°C and cannot be corroded or dissolved by any solvent below 200°C. Meanwhile, these materials are resistant to a radiation dose of 10⁸–10¹⁰ Gy without cracking or deformation, and can efficiently shield against various high-energy radiation such as neutrons, γ rays, and X-rays.

Polyphenylene sulfide resin and film for flexible radiation shielding

        High-purity polyphenylene sulfide ultrafine particles are shaped through heating and laser ablation for coating and packaging. However, the particle size and purity of common polyphenylene sulfide cannot meet the requirements. To control particle size distribution, XNH produces polyphenylene sulfide resins with linear molecular weight and ultrafine particle size (10-50 µm) by regulating the polymerization process. According to clients' demands, the melting point of ultra-fine polyphenylene sulfide particles ranges from 230 to 290°C. It can be used at temperatures between 200 and 260°C while keeping the high toughness of conventional polyphenylene sulfide.

Main features of the product: low electric constant and low loss coefficient.

Key parameters of the product: dielectric constant is 2.9-4.0, and loss coefficient is 0.003-0.01.

Lightweight and high thermal conductivity polyphenylene sulfide composites

Main features of the product: good heat transfer and heat dissipation performance.

Key parameters of the product: thermal conductivity is greater than 1.5.

Scope of application: it is used in high temperature environment and scenes that need heat dissipation, such as heat sink and heat conduction sheet, packaging parts for preventing local overheating of batteries, heat transmission parts, etc.
